Beginning on the river yonne near Auxerre this very charming canal crosses the country side, joining the Seine to the Loire river.

Three tunnels 212 m, 268 m, 758 m carved out of the rock at la Collancelle. You will join the Canal du Centre at Decize.

The Maximum boat sizes that have been indicated are for the sections Clamcey to Sardy and Sardy to Cercy la Tour. From Axuerre to Clamecy 38 metre barges with 1.60 metres of draught can navigate.
